Silver Oak Jumper Tournament 2018
Wednesday, Aug. 15th- Day 1

Today here at Fieldstone Show Park we got off to a swinging start kicking things off with full classes, and bustling with equines, canines and their human partners alike! In the opening class, the Equestrian International sponsored 1.30m, out of nearly 50 riders Peter Wylde, coming off of a recent hamstring injury, soared into first and third over the fences of Olaf Petersen Jr.’s beautifully designed course. Darren Graziano settled himself happily into second on mount Rf Koko Chanel, owned by Liz Schmid, and had some lovely comments for Silver Oak saying proudly that, “This is always (my) favorite show to come to during the entire circuit; I say it every year.”

In the latter of the main events today in the Grand Prix arena, the temperature rose and so did the competition! Wylde again brought the heat, sweeping the podium in the 1.40m sponsored by Equina. Understandably elated with his results, Wylde was, “pretty happy about today… The conditions were awesome, the weather is great, the field is great, the facility… we couldn’t ask for a better place to bring the lovely team of horses we have now.” Fellow competitor and rider Darren Graziano couldn’t agree more, himself noting how much the show has grown in recent years; attracting more and more top riders to come and compete. For day one of this illustrious competitive week, we could not be happier with the turnout so far, and eagerly anticipate what the rest of this week will bring! Please feel welcome to join us tomorrow for the official Welcome Stakes, sponsored by GGT Footing, or later on in the weekend for events including the Stud Tree sponsored Speed Derby, Steve Morel’s Master’s Classic, and the Rood&Riddle Mini Prix and Agero Grand Prix’s!
