Why The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament?

September 2027

As we are fast approaching the eleventh year of The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament, we wanted to cordially invite you to attend this year. Here are some reasons you should attend:

First, we will once again be part of the fabulous Traverse City Horse Shows, at Flintfields Horse Park. One of the best facilities in the country.

Secondly, the American Gold Cup will follow our week–September 7 – 11. The Gold Cup will take place September 14 – 18. The two back-to-back weeks of FEI 3* and FEI 5* jumper competition.

One of our favorite course designers, Olaf Peterson Jr., is presiding over the all-important tracks we will be riding. In addition to enhancing the world’s most beautiful sport, there is a heart and soul to what we are doing here that’s vital.

We continue to raise funds in support of animal rescue. The animal rescue element of our mission is most substantially lead by Victoria McCullough, and to her credit accounts for more than 14,000 horses rescued and most recently an orphan water Buffalo!

We also, over the past few years, are working very hard to support the Kevin Babington Foundation. We have helped some other riders this year who have suffered spinal cord injuries. Both David Beisel and more recently Kim Prince are receiving aid from the Foundation. Please continue to keep Kevin, David and Kim in your thoughts and prayers. We encourage you all to wear safety vests.

We are looking forward to September in Michigan and we thank the Morrisey family—the best management team in the industry– and their staff for their ongoing support.
