Ali Wolff Goes Double Clear To Claim the GGT-Footing Welcome Grand Prix

Ali Wolff and Hesperide Du Breuil rise to the top of the podium with the fastest double-clear performance in the GGT-Footing CSI3* Welcome Grand Prix

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wellington, FL – Sept. 5, 2026

If Thursday was about speed, Friday night at the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament presented by the Davis McCullough Foundation was all about keeping the rails up and finding one more gear in the jump-off.

In the GGT-Footing CSI3* Welcome Grand Prix, Ali Wolff and Hesperide Du Breuil did exactly what every rider hopes to do under the lights: jump clear, come back for the jump-off, and then do it again even faster.

From a field of 26 starters, the course challenged horses and riders from start to finish with a balanced track that demanded careful riding in every phase. No single fence stood out as the deciding factor — instead, it was a true test of consistency, adjustability and execution.

When the first round wrapped up, only eight combinations had earned a ticket back to the jump-off.

That set the stage for a fast and competitive final round, where Wolff and Hesperide Du Breuil laid down the winning trip. The pair delivered the only thing better than double clear — a double clear in 35.10 seconds — to take the blue ribbon.

Callie Schott and Popstar also turned in a sharp double-clear effort to finish second in 35.81 seconds, while Paul O’Shea and Manglar LS La Silla claimed third with another fault-free jump-off round in 36.11 seconds.

The result capped an exciting Welcome Grand Prix and added another strong chapter to an already action-packed week at Silver Oak.

2nd — Callie Schott (USA) / Popstar

3rd — Paul O’Shea (IRL) / Manglar LS La Silla

With eight riders returning for the jump-off, the GGT-Footing Welcome Grand Prix had all the ingredients of a great Friday feature — pressure, pace and plenty of clean jumping — and in the end, Ali Wolff and Hesperide Du Breuil were the pair who made it look just a little bit faster than everyone else.

The Babington Benefit Classic Returns

A highlight of this year’s tournament will be the return of the Rood & Riddle 1.25m KBF Benefit Classic, supporting the Kevin Babington Foundation and its mission to provide critical financial assistance to show jumping athletes who have suffered spinal cord injuries.

The class represents the strength, generosity and compassion of the equestrian community—and demonstrates how one competition can create a lasting impact for athletes facing life-changing circumstances.

Through its message, “Turn One Class Into a Lasting Impact,” the Kevin Babington Foundation encourages horse shows across the country to dedicate a class, or a portion of its entry fees, to supporting injured riders and advancing safety awareness throughout the sport.

This year’s class will also feature a special digital appearance by Kevin Babington himself!

And because every great ride deserves a great look, each participating horse will receive an Official Ride for Kevin Horse Bonnet before entering the ring. Together, horse-and-rider combinations will proudly demonstrate their commitment to Kevin and the Foundation’s mission.

So, find your horse, polish your boots and get ready to ride!

This meaningful—and seriously fun—1.25m Saturday class will take center stage in the International Ring. Ride for Kevin, support an extraordinary cause and give the crowd something to cheer about.
