Silver Oak Jumper Tournament Welcomes Massachusetts Eye and Ear as Rider Tent Sponsors
Halifax, MA – May 7, 2014 – The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament, scheduled for the Fieldstone Show Park in Halifax, Massachusetts, from August 13 – 17, 2014, announced today that Massachusetts Eye and Ear has taken over the important sponsorship of the Rider’s Hospitality Tent at this year’s show.
The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament met with rave reviews from competitors across the country last year and was rewarded for its efforts with a top ranking from the NARG, the North American Riders Group, at their annual meeting. Silver Oak came in as the 13th ranked best horse show in North America. “Hats off to Silver Oak,” the report stated, “for producing a fantastic event. With a widespread focus on riders, horses, sponsors and spectators, they truly went overboard in this inaugural year.”
In the detailed report from NARG, they said of the Rider’s Tent, “The grass field was a pleasure and the facility had more than enough space to exercise and warm up horses. They constructed an elevated rider’s tent with leather furniture that was catered around the clock with breakfast and lunch, plus drinks at all ring gates.”
“We couldn’t be happier that Massachusetts Eye and Ear has come on board for this important sponsorship,” in keeping with our mission as the rider’s horse show nothing is more important to that sentiment than treating our world class athletes with the respect and comfort they richly deserve. said Show Chairman Jeff Papows.
Mass. Eye and Ear clinicians and scientists are driven by a mission to find cures for blindness, deafness and diseases of the head and neck. Led by the Eaton-Peabody Laboratory in Otology, the Howe Laboratory in Ophthalmology and Schepens Eye Research Institute, Mass. “The Silver Oak Jumping Tournament is truly an exceptional experience for the senses with its expansive green lawns, multicolored flowers and obstacles, elegant equine athletes all in partnership creating a unique human and earth relationship,” said Victoria McCullough, a member of the Board of Directors at Mass Eye and Ear. “That would be tragic if this extraordinary beauty could not be seen and heard and recorded to memory, As an honored sponsor of The tournament it is my pleasure as a Board Member of Mass Eye and Ear to present The majesty of The Silver Oak Jumping Tournament to this internationally renowned icon of excellence,” she said.
“We are so delighted that such a worthwhile institution has joined forces with the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament,” Papows continued. “They are one of the top hospitals in the nation, teaching our future medical stars and isn’t it exciting that at this year’s tournament, they’ll be hosting the world’s best equestrian stars.”
