2014 Silver Oak Jumper Tournament Show

Halifax, MA – June 24, 2014 – – Following an incredible debut last season, the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament was an experience applauded by riders, sponsors and by NARG, the North American Rider’s Group. It’s not surprising that organizations of all shapes, sizes and complexions are rushing to be involved in this year’s event as it moves to Halifax and the highly regarded facility at Fieldstone Show Park.  The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament is scheduled for August 13 through Sunday, August 17 2014.

Premier sponsors include Agero, the world leader in vehicle telematics and roadside assistance, a first-class company that will sponsor the Grand Prix on Sunday, D&G ventures out of Holmes New York, providing riding, training and sales of top jumpers, will sponsor the Mini Prix that same Sunday.

Through the generosity of The Davis McCullough Foundation underwriting the critical
support of the Mass Eye and Ear Institution who will be supporting the Rider’s tent and all the services and amenities associated with it. Victoria, through this wonderful foundation, has been a patron saint of the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament from day one.  We are in her debt once again and the staff at the Mass Eye and Ear has been wonderful to work with.

Herb Chambers returns once again as a premier sponsor and the Official Truck and Automobile Dealer of the tournament.  Also, Cross Insurance, where security meets strength, has partnered with us at premier status and we are thrilled to welcome them to the fold.

NESN (New England Sports Network) is centrally involved in an expansive production that
will bring the wonders of our show jumping to life for countless viewers.

Industry leaders, including SmartPak, Dover, CWD Saddles, Devoucoux Saddles and Voltaire are all major participants as the show debuts in Halifax.  Joining us too are Innovative Equine Systems, The Tack Shack, Animo fine riding apparel, James LaLa Quarantine LLC, CMJ Sporthorse, Der Dau Boots, F.lli Fabbri Italian made boots and helmets, Triple Crown Custom who are providing championship horse clothing, and Equine Couture is the Official Apparel sponsor.

Fairway Horse Transportation, Holly Hill Horse Transportation and J R Hudson Horse Transportation are all supporting our efforts. The Kilkenney Equine Insurance Agency is on board. The Triumph Project, again through the mighty and generous efforts of Victoria McCullough, are supporters of the show and are a driving force in preventing the slaughter of horses worldwide.  Also Steve Morel’s Royal “T” Equine Sales is a presenting sponsor.  Samshield Helmets is a new sponsor.  The Dobbin Group, Strategic marketing has added their voice to the mix.

Importantly, Phelps Media Group is our public relations leader and will be onsite ushering
out the news all week in the quality way only they can. PMG also gives back to the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament by generously sponsoring our PhelpsVision Jumbotron. And of course, PhelpsSports.com, the nation’s most popular equestrian news website, will be based in Halifax for the week of the show for daily reports.

Randy Levesque is once again a patron, competitor and sponsor.  Finally, Mackenzie Couture will be on site with shopping for the many dog lovers who will be onsite. North Woods Animal Treats, Famous Dave’s Catering, Apex Tent, Jamaica Tent company, Aretiz Bratsis art, and White Apron Catering are all involved.

We are very pleased to report that VIP tables for Sunday’s ring side gourmet experience have sold like hot cakes, so to speak.  We have only four tables left, so make that call now to Sharon Ricci at 781-710-4903, first come, first served.

Also we have provided the wonderful people at Nevins Farm and Massachusetts SPCA with twenty VIP tables being employedfor their fund raiser and those tables are also in short supply.  Our partnership with Nevins Farm and the SPCA is a cornerstone of our charitable efforts.  We expect to see numerous horses and dogs adopted, as was the case at last year’s show.

Significantly, entries for the horses and riders themselves are pouring in from all corners.

“We will be blessed with a large number of the sport’s best, Olympians and world ranking leaders as well as a host of amateurs making their way in the sport.  Providing the lavish level of customer service, and quality attention to everything from our jump inventory, riding surfaces and amenities would be pointless without the broad participation we appear to be blessed with,” said Silver Oak Chairman and CEO Jeff Papows.

Part of the numerous awards at last year’s Silver Oak Jumper Tournament, including the scooter which will again be donated by Herb Chambers Motor Cars.

“While we are on the subject, Steve Stephens has assured us the full and creative weight of his support for our jump inventory in both rings,” added Papows. “Our world class course designers are Olaf Peterson Jr. of Germany and Florencia Hernandez of Mexico.”

“Jeff runs one of my favorite horse shows, there are big crowds of spectators, top course designers and I love the way he caters to all of us.” said two-time Olympic Gold Medalist McLain Ward.

Last year’s Grand Prix Champion, Paul O’Shea of Ireland agreed with Ward saying, “I think it’s the nicest show I’ve ever been to, really.”

Anne Gittins Photography will capture all the ‘Kodak moments’ for exhibitors, both still photos and video.  Neo Ruiz, the very best of farriers will be on site all week.  Russo’s Flower and Garden will provide important decorative support.  Also, Craig Canning of Progressive Growers is bringing his high tech expertise to bear on the Grand Prix Field and turf quality.

By the way rooms are filling up at the many hotels detailed in our prize list, so barn managers should be making reservations now.  In addition to the world class show facilities, the Plymouth area is a tourist hot spot in the summer so hotels do fill up.  Speaking of which, Plymouth Bell Cruises will provide their vessels and crew to facilitate a ‘don’t miss it’ Friday night Sunset dinner cruise out of Plymouth Harbor.

“We are so excited to once again host this one of a kind jumper only show,” Papows said. “It’s a show that’s clearly something not to be missed, so please get those entries to us.”

See you at the Fieldstone Show Park in Halifax, Massachusetts, from August 13 – 17, 2014.
